Tool & Die Maker
1st Shift 5:30am-3:00pm M-F

Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays


Build and repair metal working dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gages, and machinists’ hand tools, applying knowledge of tool and die design and construction, shop mathematics, metal properties, and basic heat treating, and layout, machining, and assembly procedures.


Analyzes specifications, lay out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools; fits and assembles parts to make and repair metal working dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gages and machinists’ hand tools.
Design and build metal working dies, jigs, and fixtures with verbal outline of requirements.
Studies specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualizes product.
Computes dimensions and plans layout and assembly operations.
Measures, marks and scribes metal stock for machining.
Sets up and operates machine tools, such as lathe, milling machine, shaper and grinder, to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship Program or Company certified equivalent program.
Three to five (3-5) years Machine Shop experience.
Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Accuracy and working knowledge of all Tool Room equipment.
